Crystal is a children’s mental health practitioner whose faith in African traditional religions gives her the guidance and strength necessary to withstand the emotional weight of her profession. DOS AGUAS: Where the River Meets the Sea delves into her candid reflection on the connection between her work and spiritual practice while visually venturing with her on her visits to a waterfall in Norcross, Georgia, and a patch of raw beach in Pensacola, Florida. There, she gives offerings to Yemoja and Ośun, the divine archetypes that reflect her life’s mission and sense of self.
